OIC Organization of the Islamic Conference

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is an international organization founded in 1969 consisting of 57 member states. The organization states that it is "the collective voice of the Muslim world” and works to "safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony".

SMIIC Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries Korea Halal Authority was recognized in June, 2016

The Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries(SMIIC), as a sound mechanism for harmonization of standards among the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(OIC) countries and for preparation of new ones, aims at realizing harmonized standards in the Member States and eliminating technical barriers to trade and thus developing the trade among themselves. It shall establish certification and accreditation schemes for the purpose of expediting exchange of materials, manufactured goods and products among Member States beginning with mutual recognition of certificates.
